Apostle Robert & Lady Angela Johnson

The seed of this ministry was placed on the heart of Pastor Robert Johnson more than twenty years ago when he accepted his call to ministry.  That seed was cultivated through much prayer, journaling, and planning, as he learned and grew from hands-on ministry experiences and training in various capacities of service. Real Life Outreach held its first discipleship study in August of 2004 at an annex building in Hattiesburg, Mississippi with about 4 people in attendance. Though the building itself required much attention and reconstruction, the atmosphere at the services was that of expectation, love, and humility.

 

The longing for more and more Godly instruction birthed a desire to start a Sunday outreach. In the meantime, Robert Johnson had begun to serve as interim pastor at the family church that he grew up in as boy in Forest, Mississippi, while his outreach service in the Hattiesburg area began to grow into a church as well. Real Life Church presently exists under the umbrella of Real Life Outreach Ministries, for which the vision was cast in June of 2005. The mission of this ministry is to encourage, equip, and empower congregants to fulfill God’s destiny and calling on their lives as they seek to advance the Kingdom of God. 

 

The vision of Real Life Outreach is to strategically network and establish, through the operation of the five-fold ministry gifts, churches and outreach centers that reach the unsaved as well as disciple and empower Christians. Real Life Church was the first church plant of the outreach ministry. In January of 2008, the ministry was challenged by the Holy Spirit to expand its capacity to look beyond what could be seen in the natural and embrace the unlimited and immeasurable potential from the supernatural hand of God. Within months of the prophetic word to expand our capacity, several opportunities for ministry became available and materialized into a ministry fellowship known as the ‘Unity of Believers.’  This unity is a fellowship of three churches located in Jackson, Mississippi, Sumrall, MS, and Forest, MS, each having its own respective leadership team and pastor. 

 

Pastor Johnson's heart to groom and train future ministry leaders would not be effective without having precise vision from the Lord, a strong pastoral team, and a diligent support staff. Pastor Robert Johnson is a native of Lake, MS.  He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds a degree in Counseling Psychology.  Angela Johnson is a native of Jackson, MS.  She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds degrees in Speech Communication and School Counseling.
